Solo Wrist Locks
Sure, you can practice many aspects of martial arts and more specifically, self-defense, solo. But do keep in mind, if you want to get good, I mean really proficient, then you will need to practice on real people. In fact a variety of partners is better for the purposes of generalization (more on that in Wrist Locks).
Here’s an ebooklet on how to practice aspects of locks and joint controls alone. It’s not a complete treatise on the subject, just a few thoughts.
