What would you do if a giant Hercules were suddenly all over you?
Discover some of the lesser-known techniques for handling hulks. You don't need muscles, but you do need nerve. You will have to get right in the face of your attacker...
You have heard about all of the vulnerable areas to attack already:
Sometimes, just sometimes, none of the above works:
* You kick to the groin, and your skilled attacker easily blocks it, or worse, uses a more efficient set of tactics, like timing, angles and countering with an offensive strike of his own. Now, what?
* You go for a shin kick, and your aggressor easily lifts his leg a bit, meeting your kick. He easily dissipates any power that you had behing your stomp, while sending you off balance.
* You go for an eye jab, only to find that your attacker has deftly kicked 'you' in the groin or shins.
And to top it all off, your attacker is a giant -- his muscles bulge. As soon as he counters your weak attempt at self defense, he goes in for a grab. A real bear hug.
Now, what do you do?
He has you!
Now, that he has you, you have several immediate goals:
1) You need to do something now, before he tackles you and really gets the upper hand.
2) Your counter has to immobilize him quickly.
3) At this point, the easiest way to immobilize him is to cause pain. And you need to make the pain excruciating enough that hercules can only think about the pain -- it becomes an immediate concern.
So, let's cause some pain!
* You can still try all of the first suggestions again from this closer distance. Shin stomp, eye jab, etc.
* Instead of a groin kick, grab ahold with a firm grip. You will get your attacker's attention, immediately.
* Pull hair. Pull against the grain to cause more pain. Remmeber that -- against the grain equals more pain.
* Don't forget hair doesn't just grow out of the top of your head. Try beard pulls -- chest hair grabs -- back hair yanks (reminds me of Return of the Dragon with Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris).
* The nose is sensitive -- especially the ridge underneath, near the nostrils.
And once you have caused pain ...
You have to make an important decision. Will you continue your attack -- yes, you are now the attacker, or will you try to get away?
Situations are different. Use your judgment -- but realize your judgment may be impaired. You have adrenaline coursing through you. You are afraid. Keep that in mind.
You may want to think about all of this now, so you don't have to during an attack.
Consider your safety. Consider the law. Consider your moral and ethical standard.
Be safe.
