About Kerwin Benson Publishing
Well, first and foremost, we are publishers of quality martial
arts information.
We're a small company--right now there are only five of us.
And this may sound like the standard line, but because we're
small, we pay more attention to our customers than a lot of
the big, impersonal companies out there.
Also, because they're big, they can afford to offer some pretty
weak products.
They're so big, that they will make up in quantity, what
they lack in quality.
We can't afford to do that -- nor would we want to. We have
to offer a product that really does give you the edge.
If we didn't, we go out of business quickly-- and by the way,
our 5-person "corporation" (which was formed with a
whopping three people) started in the mid seventies.
We have been around for awhile. We are stable.

How do we offer a Personal touch?
Well, to start with we answer all of our e-mail.
We put a 90-day money back guarantee on all of our products.
We ship using Priority Mail to all U.S. territories. Quick
service is very important to us.

We have fun at Kerwin Benson:
We tend to slip a few gourmet candy bars in our big wholesale
orders (we care about the person who has to unload the books at
the other end).
We dress casually. We wear our favorite martial arts shirts to work.
We find "nice ways" to thank our customers who refer
book orders our way. (Be sure to have the person
ordering mention your name!)

This upbeat company definitely offers you a martial arts advantage.
Their authors provide up-to-date material. The cutting edge of
martial arts secrets.
Our authors work closely with our company. You can usually find
one in our office, working on a new project.
And speaking of Martial Arts Authors...

Keith Pascal is the author of
Wrist Locks:From Protecting Yourself
to Becoming an Expert
From age six through his teens, Keith Pascal was involved
with Judo, Tae Kwon Do, and Shotokan.
He settled on his current system in 1980. He is certified to
instruct in the Twin Dragons Style of Gung Fu, a system that
incorporates the principles of Bruce Lee.
(Keith is also listed on the
Recommended Instructor List for
the Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do
Organization -- A group made up of
Bruce Lee's former students, his wife Linda Lee Cadwell,
and his daughter Shannon.)
This group has morphed into the Bruce Lee Educational Foundation.
Keith is on that list too, as well as the non-political Jeet Kune Do List
at BIG Sean Madigan's site.
The humurous yet to-the-point teaching style revealed in his books,
e-reports, and articles, came into being in his garage, where he still
teaches a group of martial artists.
But his teaching expertise is more than just "garage born." He
started teaching magic lessons both out of the back of the magic
shop, which he co-owned, and for the Eugene Parks and Rec.
Department while still in his teens. In his mid twenties, he taught
martial arts, at night, in the back of the bookstore which
succeeded the magic shop.
Returning to College on a Graduate teaching Fellowship, he
taught both Italian and Spanish for the University of Oregon,
while earning his M.A. in Spanish and the Art of Teaching.
Before turning to martial arts writing full time, Keith built a
career for more than a dozen years teaching. While he was
a high-school teacher, he was listed in Who's Who of American
Teachers more times than 99% of all U.S. teachers.
Of course, Keith takes more pride in his students' accomplishments
than his own. He has really tried to give them an edge. His students
have gone on to become scientists, doctors, teachers, magicians, etc....
Some of them are quite well-known.
Now, Keith Pascal is giving you the edge with his quality, martial-arts
information. His methods are unique, and they work.
We are glad to have him aboard!
