1. Which martial arts styles and systems
do you provide information about?
We really try not to be style specific. For example, our book Wrist Locks:
From Protecting Yourself to Becoming an Expert includes principles and
techniques from Ju Jitsu, Chin Na, Aikido, JKD, and many more.
While we aren't style specific, we do tend to follow the philosophy of Bruce
Lee. He borrowed from so many styles that I think you can find something
practical for you to use.
This site is perfect for both beginner and advanced, and for both classical
and non-traditional martial artists.
And you can always e-mail us if you are having problems.

2. How are The Hidden Gems of Martial Arts
different from other martial arts sites?
Even though we aren't style specific, we are focused. Our mission is
to get you better at martial arts and self defense. We focus on the
practical side of martial arts.
And we are committed to providing you with fresh material. You
won't find any rehashing of old articles lifted from magazines
that are years old.
This martial arts informatin is fresh and accurate. You will learn.
You will be different.
And we aren't some excuse for a martial arts catalog on-line. We are
a martial arts information site. Sure, I can recommend companies
to buy equipment, but that's not what we're about.
Our goal is to provide quality martial arts reports and eBooks, not
to sell you a heavy bag and a martial arts uniform. Those sites are fine,
in fact some of them are starting to link to us on there own.
It's just not our 'thing.'

3. How often do you update your martial-arts
and self-defense information?
If you are looking for free reports, you should probably check back weekly. We
tend to post a new article every couple of days. And we will continue to do so,
as long as we keep getting positive feedback.
Our Free martial arts newsletter, "Martial Arts Mastery: A Tell-All
of Tips, Tactics, and Techniques" comes out every Tuesday. It always
has articles before they appear on the site.
You really should subscribe to this ezine AND bookmark our site.
Why?
Some of our reports on the site have never appeared in the ezine, and never will.
And some of our ezine articles get published in other formats (eBooks, other
ezines, booklets, etc.), never to appear on the Hidden Gems of Martial Arts site.
Play it safe and read both the free reports and subscribe to the weekly martial arts ezine.

4. What's the catch? Why are you giving this
valuable information away for FREE?
There is no catch. We promise. Your name (or e-mail address) will
never be sold to another martial arts distributor, when you sign up for
our martial arts ezine. We respect your privacy.
But, to be honest with you, if you like what you read for free, we hope that
you will buy a book or two from Kerwin Benson. It doesn't take much sales
technique on our part.
The books are good. And they have completely different material from what's
covered in the articles. The books are complete. The articles just get you started.
So, how come Kerwin Benson is providing this valuable
information for free?
Some things just can't wait for the traditional book route.
You need the information now.
Some of Keith Pascal's students love his writing style and
eagerly await all new articles. Here's a chance for them to
read his articles more frequently.
There is an awful lot of drivel on the internet. Face it, you
have to wade through a lot of crap in order to find anything
useful. This is our attempt to make that wade a little easier.
Quite frankly, when we typed in either "martial arts" or "self
defense" in a number of e-zine directories, we were sorely
disappointed with the results. This is how we rectified
the situation.
There are a lot of myths to be shattered. Our staff isn't
exactly sure why some people continue to hang on to such
bad techniques and tactics. All we can do is shake our
heads...or try to teach some more efficient techniques
and skills.
